Welcome to Ray Guzman Studio.

Artist, Craftsman, Teacher.

Ray Guzman, founder of Ray Guzman Studio, has had an interest in art since he was a young man. Inspired by a fellow artist, his mentor and uncle Frank Rod, Ray has honed his talents into a 40-year career as an artist and business owner. His art manifests itself through his work as owner of Hoboken Sign, located in Hoboken, NJ. With a long-standing career as a graphic artist, muralist, sign painter and creative force, Ray has come back to finish what he started – to create his timeless art with no rules and no boundaries.

Ray Guzman

The Artist.

Ray has been a prolific artist for over 30 years. He has many passions; he is an accomplished cook, grandfather, dog lover (everyone loves MING!) and artist extraordinaire! Ray attended college at New York’s prestigious School of Visual Arts, but his talent in the arts is not limited to painting. Ray also has a knack for exploration in different mediums.

Ray’s Art Collections

Ray is currently offering his original art for sale as well as limited-edition signed or numbered prints of his art and paintings. His collections feature landscape works of art, a series of portraits, and a series of abandoned vehicle art including trucks, tractors, and boats.

Landscape Collection

Capturing the moment is how to be describe Ray’s landscapes. From bright daylight scenes to nighttime scenic paintings, each work of art is timeless and captures a unique moment in time and space.

Trucks and Tractors Collection

It’s all in the details. Some of Ray Guzman’s most popular art comes in the form of painting older abandoned vehicles (trucks, farm tractors and boats) to capture the results of years of hard work in the field and mother nature’s effects on manmade materials.

Portrait Collection

When painting people and portraits, Ray has a special talent for focusing in on his subject’s face. In this collection, you will see private citizens, and a series on former President Trump. Love him or hate him, the former President was captured in a series without prejudice or preconceived notions by the artist.

Hoboken Sign Shop

For over 30 years Hoboken Sign has designed and produced thousands of signs for hundreds of clients in the Hoboken, Jersey City area. From logo design to signage permits and sign production, Ray’s extensive experience in signage and sign fabrication is world class.

Box Pond

This scenic pond is in the valleys of Northeastern PA. Painted in the fall, the autumn colors abound with brightness and clarity. As with many of Ray’s landscapes, this painting is sketched & painted in a few hours to capture the lighting by the sun.

Frank Mazzeo

A portrait of fellow artist and friend of Ray Guzman. This fine example of art shows how time and age can impact the human spirit. The details of the hair, face and hands illustrate how time rules us all. The masterful details of the robe blended into the background pulls the subject forward.

Bucks Bats

A clear, perfect starlit night scape. This abandoned and collapsing barn was painted by Ray during a full moon in October. As the sun was setting, the bats went to work. Age spots visible on the barn’s roof and side panels are as detailed as the reflective sky.
